Legends say that distressed shepherds had dream in which the Goddess ordered them to carry out ritualistic sacrifice of sheep and build a shrine in her honor. This holiest temple holds deep religious significance among Nepali since ancient times. Day 1: Drive from Kathmandu to Ilam. Overnight at Ilam
Day 2: Drive to Thulo Phedi after having breakfast at Ilam along the breath taking views of hills and tea gardens. Overnight at Thulo Phedi
Day 3: Early morning hike to Pathivara temple through lush green forest and rhododendron bushes. Drive to Phidim, enjoy the night lights and overnight at Phidim
Day 4: Drive to Dharan, a beautiful city with many pilgrimage sites. Visit to Buddhasubba and Dantakali Temple located at Bijayapur Dharan. Overnight at Dharan
Day 5: Drive back to Kathmandu
This beautiful tour starts from Kathmandu and passes through the BP Highway along the scenic view of terraced tea farming, locals rushing for small business until you reach the world-famous Ilam, home of tea gardens, which will warm your day ahead. The next day, the tour continues further towards Thulo Phedi along the breathtaking hills and astonishing sceneries. On the third day, the actual journey to Pathivara Temple begins in which you will have to hike for about 2-3 hours to reach the holy Pathivara temple. This hiking opportunity enables you to observe the mesmerizing landscape of Taplejung district that will surely captivate you.
