DARJEELING TOUR, A WONDERFUL TRIP TO THE QUEENS OF HILLS

#Darjeeling, popularly known as the “Queens of Hills” is located at altitude of 2100m in West Bengal of India. Darjeeling is a renowned tourist destination with spectacular snow-covered views of Mt. Kanchenjunga, Bhutanese Himalayan and some parts of Everest Region. You can also view dense green forests, eye-catching small valleys, tranquil lakes and rivers and lush tea gardens. And, interestingly, you can also get to ride a toy train. The beautiful landscapes and stunning mountain views with monasteries and rich cultural heritages of Sikkim, Kalimpong and Darjeeling is almost similar to Nepali natural and cultural heritage. Most of the population speak and understand Nepali Language.

The town’s pristine beauty, rich flora and captivating valleys are the major attractions. DARJEELING TOUR ITINERARY:

• Day 01: Drive from Kathmandu to Pashupatinagar (border area)
• Day 02: Drive to Gangtok. Leisure, sightseeing and overnight at Gangtok
• Day 03: Full day sightseeing tour at Changu Lake, Baba Mandir, Rumtek Monastery and Do-Drul Chorten. Overnight at Sikkim
• Day 04: Drive to Kalimpong, Visit Morgan House, Cactus Nursery, Durpin Dara Hill, St. Theresa Catholic Church. Overnight at Kalimpong
• Day 05: Drive to Darjeeling early in the morning. Half day sightseeing tour at Ghoom Monastery, Japanese Temple, Peace Pagoda. Explore Ghoom through Toy Train Joyride. Overnight at Darjeeling
• Day 06: Visit Tiger Hill, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, and Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, Darjeeling Market, Malls etc. Overnight at Darjeeling
• Day 07: Drive to Fikal. Visit Shree Antu and Kanyam. Sightseeing at tea garden. Overnight at Kanyam
  Day 08: Drive back to Kathmandu

We will departure from Kathmandu early in the morning and ride about 12/13 hours via Malekhu, Muglin, Lahan, Koshi Bridge, Itahari, Jhapa, Fikal to reach Pashupatinagar. After reaching Pashupatinagar, we will stay at a hotel. Next day, we will drive to Gangtok and do some sightseeing. Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim, is an enchanting and clean town that has the best monasteries and landscape beauties with lavish subtropical woodlands and rhododendron forests, ascending to the stunning white-top pinnacles of the eastern Himalaya in the north. Then, we will visit Changu Lake, Baba Mandir, Rumtek Monastery and Do-Drul Chorten. Next day, we will drive to Kalimpong, the beautiful hill destination in neighboring town of Darjeeling which is the town of pristine beauty, rich flora and captivating valleys.

The major attractions are Morgan House, Cactus Nursery, Durpin Dara Hill, St. Theresa Catholic Church etc. Early Morning, you will drive to Darjeeling and do half day sightseeing at Ghoom Monastery, Japanese Temple, and Peace Pagoda. Explore Ghoom through Toy Train Joyride. Next day, we will go for sunrise view in Tiger Hill and then visit #Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, and Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park and in the evening we will visit Darjeeling market and malls. After exploring Darjeeling, we will drive to Fikal and visit Shree Antu and Kanyam and tea gardens. Last day of tour, we will drive back to Kathmandu with the beautiful memories of tea garden, majestic mountain views and monasteries.
