Pokhara is a metropolitan city lying about 200 km west of Kathmandu. Pokhara is also known as the “City of Lakes”, as it is home to beautiful lakes like Begnas lake, Phewa lake, Rupa lake, etc. It is all about spectacular views of snow-capped mountains like Mt. Annapurna & Mt. Machhapuchhre. Besides the mountains & lakes, there are many beautiful places which attract thousands of tourists every year. Mahendra Gufa, Butterfly Museum, Gupteswor Mahadev Gufa, Bat Cave, Seti George, and two fantastic viewpoints i.e Sarangot & Peace Pagoda are major attractions in Pokhara.

Similarly, Lumbini, a historical site and also the birthplace of Lord Buddha, is located in the southwestern part of Nepal. Lumbini is designated as a World Heritage site by UNESCO. It is a popular tourist destination to explore the Buddhist Religion. The tranquil environment, beautiful monasteries built by various countries, Maya Devi Temple, Ashok Pillar, and the Lumbini museum are the main attraction in Lumbini.

Chitwan is a famous tourist destination about 140 km away from Kathmandu. It is well known for its National Park, which is designated as a World Heritage site by UNESCO. Chitwan is popular for the rich Tharu culture and the wildlife inside Chitwan National Park. The National Park is home to about 68 Species of mammals, 544 species of birds, 56 species of reptiles & amphibians, and 126 species of fish. The park also offers many outdoor activities like, bird watching, canoeing, Jungle driving & Jungle walking.

Chitwan-Lumbini-Pokhara Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Meet at Thamel and drive to Pokhara. Boating and sightseeing at Phewa Lake and Tal Barahi Temple. Overnight at the hotel, Lakeside Pokhara.

Day 2: Early morning drive to Sarangkot to view the magnificent view of majestic mountain ranges. Full-day sightseeing tour at Mahendra Cave, Seti River Gorge, Barahi Temple, Mountain Museum, and World Peace Pagoda. Overnight at the hotel, Lakeside Pokhara.

Day 3: Drive to Lumbini. Sightseeing and exploring the Lumbini area. Overnight at the hotel, Lumbini.

Day 4: Drive to Chitwan National Park. Explore and walk around Tharu village. Canoeing and Evening Cultural Program. Overnight at the hotel, Chitwan.

Day 5: Jungle Activities – Jeep Safari, Colorful Tharu Village Visit, Bird Watching in Chitwan National Park. Drive back to Kathmandu.

You will depart from Kathmandu early in the morning and ride for 6/7 hours via Kalanki, Thankot, Malekhu, Mugling & Tanahun to reach Pokhara (or you can fly to Pokhara in about 25 mins). After reaching Pokhara, you will go for sightseeing at Phewa lake and visit Barahi Temple. The Next day, you will drive to Sarangkot to view the sunrise & Majestic Mountain ranges. Later, you will do full-day sightseeing of Pokhara city which includes visiting Mahendra Cave, Seti River Gorge, Mountain Museum, and World Peace Pagoda. Next morning you will drive to Lumbini and do some sightseeing. You will visit Maya Devi temple, Ashok Pillar, Lumbini Museum, and different monasteries. The next day, you will drive back to Chitwan and later, you will explore and walk around the Tharu village, do river canoeing & in the evening, see the Tharu Cultural program. Next morning, you will have jungle activities like a Jeep safari, bird watching, jungle walk & visit the colorful Tharu village. This trip is a combination of Culture, Religion & Natural beauty. You will explore the natural beauty of Pokhara, the religious sites of Lumbini & wildlife, and the cultural lifestyle of Chitwan. After exploring Pokhara-Lumbini-Chitwan, you will drive back to Kathmandu.
